Dune repair and vegetation - beyondeyelevel
On the left the Singapore Daisy, and on the right a Pes Carpae in bloom. The Singapore Daisy is a traveller and a binding plant however it takes over creating a monoculture, as does Bitou, so nothing else will grow. I pull the Daisy out by hand and replant, or wait under there is spontaneous regrowth of natives. There is plenty of organic material in this dune face sand so native plants regenerate quite quickly. The Pigface along with the grasses and Pes Carpae are the heavy lifters of the dune face.
